The REAPER reprocessing activity has produced a homogeneous, improved ERS altimetry dataset, processed with a uniform set of algorithms and models, and cross-calibrated with ENVISAT. Many improvements have been made to the L1, L2 and Calibration processing of the ERS data. These improvements have largely derived from the processing developed for ENVISAT. The improvements in results seen during the project commissioning phase are presented below.
