In the frame of the Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) programme, the European Space Agency is developing the Sentinel-3 mission, including the development of the Sentinel-3 Satellites, the implementation of the Sentinel-3 Flight Operations Segment (FOS) and the Sentinel-3 Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS).

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland GmbH is the Prime Contractor for the implementation of the Sentinel-3 Core Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS) and leads an industrial consortium including ACS, WERUM, Telespazio S.p.A. and ACRI-ST consortium (ACRI-ST, CLS and DEIMOS).

The Sentinel-3 Instrument Processing Facility (IPF) is the sub-system of the Sentinel-3 Core PDGS responsible for the end-to-end instrument data processing (from Level 0 up to Level 2) for the Sentinel 3A/B. The Instrument Processing Facilities will be integrated in the Sentinel-3 PDGS, which will be deployed in different centres. Each centre will provide a sub set of Sentinel-3 products in different category of timeliness.
This poster provides an overview of the Instrument Processing Facilities, the output products they will generate, the timeliness categories and an overview of the processing and archiving centres from which they will be made available.
