Importance of Climate in GEO

GEO member countries agreed on Climate being one of the 9 Societal Benefits Areas (SBAs) of GEO, and established a Climate Strategic Target. The GEO Work Plan includes climate-dedicated priority actions as well as contributions from activities of other SBAs in order to realise this Target. GEOSS Common Infrastructure, advocacy for data sharing and capacity building activities leverage these efforts.
